Dakota Fanning has always been a super private person especially when it comes to her love life. Sadly, news just broke that her and her longtime boyfriend Jamie Strachan have decided to pull the plug on their relationship.
Dakota and Jamie were first seen out and about in New York City way back in 2013. They were holding hands and really got the rumor mill going about whether or not they were an official item. Despite their age difference, Jamie is 13 years older than Dakota, these two seemed to have a lot in common and were so cute together.
Unfortunately, Dakota hates the dating scene so fans are eager to see what she'll do now that she's single.
She chatted with Town & Country magazine and said, "The way I prefer to meet someone is through a friend … [They're] most likely not a freak. I find dates, in general, horrific. We have to sit there and ask these questions and pretend to eat a meal, and it just feels so stiff."
Yikes! To be honest, she does have a point here. Dating is super hard especially for someone who is constantly in the public eye. We hope that both her and Jamie can peacefully move on from this and find happiness in the future!
