Do you hear that, guys? That’s the sound of wedding bells ringing because Darren Criss and his longtime girlfriend, Mia Swier, just got married. That’s right! Our favorite Glee star is officially a married man. The couple tied the knot on Saturday, February 16, in New Orleans, and we’ve got all the deets on their intimate wedding.
According to People, a ton of the actor’s Glee costars were at the wedding, so prepare to bring on the feels. Lea Michele, John Stamos, Chord Overstreet and Harry Shum Jr. were reportedly all in attendance, so yeah, it was a total mini Glee reunion!
The 32-year-old walked down the aisle in a white tux, and boy, did he look handsome. His wife donned a gorgeous, flowing white gown for the big day, and it seriously looked like a dream. After saying their vows, the couple and their close family and friends even had a parade down the streets of New Orleans — complete with a live marching band. It definitely seemed like it came straight out of a fairytale.
As J-14 readers know, the couple announced that they were engaged last January.
“Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together,” the Broadway star wrote at the time. “And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage.”
Aw, how sweet! The pair have been together since 2010, although they didn’t go public until 2013. Since then, they’ve been total goals. But who is the lucky lady? Well, Mia is actually a writer and producer that works for the Fox network. She’s produced and directed the promotional content on shows like Glee, Scream Queens, Gracepoint, The Mindy Project, New Girl, Raising Hope and The Following. The 33-year-old has also started her own band, where she plays the bass and sings.
We’re seriously so happy for the newlyweds.
