David Henrie was reportedly arrested yesterday for carrying a loaded gun at LAX airport. Reports say the Disney Channel alum was going through a TSA screening, when he was stopped after agents discovered the weapon. He was then detained and taken to a police station nearby. After paying a reported $10,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials, he was released.
"He was cooperative and we had no issues on the arrest," a spokesman for the Airport Police told Radar. "He doesn't have a concealed carry permit, or CCW, so he definitely should not have had possession of [the handgun]."
David took to Instagram to explain the situation from his perspective.
"I take responsibility for the situation at LAX today," he tweeted and posted to Instagram. "I unintentionally brought my legally owned gun which is registered in my name to the airport. I am so sorry for any trouble it caused, but I am appreciative of TSA's efforts in implementing the safety laws that are in place to protect our beautiful country."
The airport police tweeted back, "It’s unfortunate you had to meet our officers under these circumstances but we appreciate your professionalism and thanking the police officers for doing their jobs not something we hear a lot of lately. Safe travels & God Bless."

The 29-year-old actor and his wife Maria Cahill announced earlier this month that they're expecting their first child together – a baby girl. In David's Instagram announcement, he wrote, "That reminds me. Where's my shotgun? I don't have a shotgun. Someone get me a shotgun!"
You may know David best by playing Selena Gomez's on-screen brother, Justin Russo, in Wizards of Waverly Place. The two are still close friends, as Selena attended his wedding in 2017 with the other core cast members of the Wizards crew. David and Selena even hung out this past 4th of July, giving fans a dose of nostalgia.
David recently visited the Disney Channel headquarters to visit his family from the network and give advice to current young actors. "Such a blast getting to visit my Disney channel family and share some advice with the future of the channel. I wish you all the best and remember: humility and gratitude," he wrote alongside the photo he shared from the event.
David is also directing a movie, titled This Is The Year, which is starring his Wizards co-star Gregg Sulkin and another Disney Channel alum, Jake Short. It will also star Vanessa Marano, his brother Lorenzo Henrie, Madison Iseman, and Bug Hall.
So far, there has not been a statement about the apparent arrest from David or his team.
