David Henrie, who you probably remember as Justin in Wizards of Waverly Place, didn't take the same path as some of the Disney stars he grew up with — and that's by choice. In fact, he isn't too fond of the things celebs like Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus did to break away from their squeaky clean image and is glad he's doing things differently.
In a recent interview, David revealed the way other Disney stars have broken away from Disney didn't have to be as extreme.
"I think everyone as they transition out of a younger show wants to transition into a career of acting unless you didn't like acting and you don't want to do that anymore," David said. "You have to transition out of it and that comes with doing older, more mature roles, but that doesn't mean doing crazy things that just insult your audience. Your audience has to grow with you."
Instead of doing something totally crazy, David said he wanted to grow his career by taking "good" roles, insinuating that Miley with her controversial stage behavior and Selena with her part in Spring Breakers was anything but.
