Demi Lovato officially has a new boyfriend!
The "Cool For the Summer" singer was spotted on social media with MMA fighter Guilherme 'Bomba' Vasconcelos ringing in 2017 together. Ever since then, there's been speculation that these two are an item. Demi and Bomba were seen on his Instagram looking totally in love. His arm was wrapped around her and footage had surfaced of her cheering him on during one of his fights. However, these two had never made a public statement, so Lovatics couldn't say for sure whether or not their girl had really found love again.
Now, we know for sure.
Demi appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show and chatted about her new guy. Ellen asked, "And you date a boxer?"
Demi giggled and responded, "Uhh, an MMA fighter."
Ellen proceeded to talk about the rules of Bomba's style of fighting and how it can be super dangerous. She asked Demi, "Don't you get nervous when he's in the ring?"
Demi said, "Yeah, of course." Aww! Demi explained how Bomba wins a lot of his fights, so he doesn't get hurt too much. In the end, she thinks he's a really sweet guy! This is just all too freaking adorable.
This is the first time Demi has acknowledged that she is in a committed relationship with someone since she and her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama called it quits after six years of dating. Of course, that was super devastating for shippers as well as Demi and Wilmer. However, it seems like the songstress is in a good place, especially if she's telling the world that she officially has a new boyfriend!
We are very excited for her and hopefully, this trend continues. Lovatics are definitely eager to hear way more about Demi's love life than she has shared so far. Until then, we'll just swoon over their Instagram pictures together!
