Everyone was totally freaking out after a comment Ariana Grande made at the Jingle Ball concert in Los Angeles Friday night that seemed like it was directed at Selena Gomez, but it turns out that wasn't Ariana's intention at all.
Selena had some major technical difficulties during her performance. Her voice was blasting over the speakers while her microphone clearly wasn't up to her face, making everything think she was lip syncing. After her performance, she loudly said some profanity, not thinking her microphone was on, which left everyone in shock.
Ariana had a great performance but had some difficulties as well, saying, "At least I'm singing live." Since Selena wasn't, everyone took that as a jab at the "Come & Get It" star, making Twitter blow up over the diss. Luckily, Ariana defended herself and cleared the air.
Ohhh jesus. I wasn't throwing shade AT ALL I didn't even see anyone else's set. I was sick backstage that's why I didn't even do the carpet.— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) December 7, 2013
I was just cracking a joke cause my mic was off. Everyone had tech difficulties. Sorry if it was taken the wrong way it wasn't my intention!— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) December 7, 2013
