Is anyone else obsessed with Demi Lovato‘s vast collection of tattoos? Well, prepare yourselves because the singer just added a new ink, and this one has a particularly deep meaning. The former Sonny With A Chance star took to her Instagram story on Saturday, January 26 to share a snap of the new ink — a dainty rose on her index finger — and you’re not going to believe what it symbolizes.
“Obsessed” she captioned the photo. The tat was done by celebrity tattoo artist Daniel Winter, who’s also inked stars like Sophie Turner, Olivia Holt, Mandy Moore and more! The artist also shared a pic with the former Disney star, writing, “You are a gem, thanks for coming in!”
We’re seriously loving the new body design! But you’ll be surprised to know that the chic new ink actually has a much deeper meaning behind it. Get this — the “Tell Me You Love Me” songstress just celebrated six months of sobriety, and so a lot of fans believe the new tattoo is in honor of that. Traditionally, a rose often symbolizes hope, new beginnings, and balance, which all definitely relate to what Demi has gone through.
We couldn’t be more proud of her. The 26-year-old took to Instagram over the weekend to share the news of her accomplishment when she posted a pic of a cake that said, “Happy 6 months, we are so f–king proud of you. Love, Team DL.”
“Best day ever,” she captioned it. She also shared a pin that said “Six months” on it.
As J-14 readers know, after the actress suffered a scary overdose back in August, she decided to take a break from Hollywood to focus on her health. The brunette beauty spent three months in a rehabilitation facility in Utah, before returning to Los Angeles. Since then, she’s seemed stronger and happier than ever.
