Justin Bieber hasn’t released an album since 2015, and we are all wondering when the heck he’ll drop a new one! But it turns out, the singer may not be releasing new music any time soon. Sigh. Just days after the singer commemorated the three year anniversary of his last studio album, Purpose, a source revealed to People Magazine that the 24-year-old is focused on other things right now.

“Justin is searching for his purpose right now. He’s thinking, ‘Hey, maybe it’s not music. Maybe there are other things I should be doing,’” they explained. “So while he’s figuring it out, the last thing he needs is people asking him when he’s going back into the studio.”

It’s certainly sad news for Beliebers — of course, we all want him to do whatever makes him happy, but we can’t help but miss seeing him on stage and hearing his voice all over the radio! So what will the star be doing with all his free time if he’s not making music?

“He truly wants to make the world a better place, and he’s self-aware enough to know that some of his previous choices may not have accomplished that,” the insider continued. “So he’s working through it, which really should be applauded. It’s a very mature thing to do.”

Okay, so making the world a better place is definitely a good reason to put his music career on hold. And he’s doing so with his wife, Hailey Baldwin, by his side.

“He’s happy and content,” the insider dished. “He is in love with Hailey. She encourages him to do whatever he wants to do, and is encouraging him in this season of self-discovery.”

We’re sure fans are relieved to hear he’s in a great place. They had been rather worried about the “Love Myself” singer, especially after he was spotted crying at Universal Studios at the beginning of the month. In an exclusive video obtained by J-14, the singer was seen sobbing while his 21-year-old bae comforted him and stroked his hair.

As much of a bummer it is that we won’t be getting any new bops from the star soon, we’re always going to support JB doing whatever it is that makes him happy.
