It's no secret Dove Cameron and Thomas Doherty are both just so head over heels in love with each other. The former co-stars met on the set of Descendants 2 and while they were just friends a first, their friendship eventually blossomed into something more and now we have one of the cutest couples ever on our hands. Seriously, they make such a ridiculously gorgeous pair and seem to always have a blast together. Proof:
Of course, if you've seen D2 then you know these two really did some intense chemistry on-screen, which they really just couldn't help. It was all natural! And everyone wants to know if they'll ever work together again since you know, they did meet and fall in love all thanks to their jobs. Well, Dove caught up with Acess Hollywood while she was rehearsing for her upcoming performances in the Hollywood Bowl's production of Mamma Mia! and she was flat out asked if she and her bae would ever team up again professionally on another project. While she wouldn't completely rule it out, it's clear she really wants to keep her personal and private life as separate as she can.
"I don't know. I think when you are an artist who just loves what they do, and that's something I love so much about him. He's not like, 'an actor' or like 'celebrity' and I try to stay away from that as well, and you only kind of do projects that just make your heart beat," Dove explained. "And so we're super in love in and stuff, so I think it would be easy to collaborate with him again. But honestly, professional, personal, he's the love of my life so I'm good not working with again too."
OK, the fact that she calls him the love of her love is honestly beyond precious. But working with him on something isn't at the top of her list of priorities, which is super interesting. If Descendants 3 happens, well then they'll have to be co-stars again and she's already filmed her guest-starring role on his show The Lodge. Perhaps though, Dove has learned from her past relationship with ex-fiancé Ryan McCartan that sometimes it is better to separate work and your love life. As you may remember, Dove and Ryan together were the musical duo The Girl and the Dreamcatcher and when they broke up, well that was the end of the band too. They met while playing a couple on Liv and Maddie and luckily all of those final episodes were filmed long before the couple broke up, so it wasn't super awkward for anyone but maybe she's trying to avoid something like from happening ever again. But Dove and Thomas seem v happy together and stronger than ever so we have a feeling these two are going to be together for a long, long time.
