It’s big announcement after big announcement for Dove Cameron these days. The Disney Channel darling of Descendants and Descendants 2 has just landed two exciting new roles, and they are both within the Marvel family. Pretty legendary, if you ask us.

After much anticipation, Dove finally posted a video to Instagram, sharing the news that she’ll be joining the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

The official Instagram account for the series reposted her video with the caption, “Coulson awaits. Welcome to Marvel’s #AgentsofSHIELD, @dovecameron!” So there it is – confirmed!

Dove isn’t the only one thoroughly pumped about her new gig – fans are totally losing their minds over the news. In case you’re not familiar, the ABC show just premiered it’s 5th season and celebrate its 100th episode. What Dove’s character will be, there’s no word just yet – although she seems to agree with one fan on Twitter that she should totally play “an evil killer cyborg.”

In addition, Dove will also be lending her voice to the new animated series Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. Best part? She’ll be joining Skai Jackson, Tyler Posey and her Descendants bud Booboo Stewart in the show! To clear up any confusion, Dove took to Twitter to address the fact that these two Marvel roles are, in fact, separate.

All we’re sayin’ is she already knows all the ways to be wicked – so playing an evil character would be a breeze!

Dove’s future fellow cast members Chloe Bennet and Ming-Na Wen took to Twitter to welcome Dove to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. squad.

So sweet! However, the cast was still keeping it very hush-hush about who Dove’s character will be for a while there.

But now we finally know who she will be playing! Entertainment Weekly got the scoop about Dove’s character named Ruby who is supper smart and happens to have an obsession with Chloe’s character Daisy Johnson. She also happens to be the daughter of General Hale, so we’re sure that means tons of drama is on the way once Ruby gets on the scene.
