It’s safe to say that most of us have felt the pain and heartbreak of being stabbed in the back by someone we thought was a close friend. And the same goes for Emma Chamberlain. The YouTuber just revealed that she’s been betrayed by more than 10 fellow YouTubers, and our hearts are seriously breaking for her.

“I’ve dealt with a lot of people with bad intentions,” she told W Magazine. “Just because somebody has a following does not mean that they are a good person or a good friend. And I should have known that. I’ve f–ked myself over a few times believing that. I don’t know why I thought there was a correlation — if anything, I prefer to have friends who are maybe not even YouTubers. Four of my best friends are YouTubers, but that’s just a coincidence. I’ve been backstabbed multiple times — literally, at least 10, just off the top of my head — by other YouTubers, and it’s awful.”

But even though the 18-year-old social media star has definitely gone through her fair share of drama, she explained that after she moved to her own apartment in Los Angeles back in June 2018, she finally found a good group of friends.

“That’s when I met all of my best friends that I currently have,” she continued. “They are all genuine friends. We have each other’s back, and there’s nothing suspicious about it.”

OK, phew. We’re so glad that she eventually found some real friends. But who is the brunette beauty referring to? Well, she unfortunately made sure not to name anyone specific, but some fans are convinced that she’s referring to the Dolan Twins.

As fans know, Emma, Ethan and Grayson Dolan are pretty much always hanging out, collaborating on videos and gushing over each other on social media. And did we mention that they got close right around June 2018? Yeah, there are definitely a ton of clues that she’s referring to the guys, and we are living for their friendship.

Emma’s also super close to YouTubers Amanda Pavillard and Olivia Rouyre, so she could also be talking about them. As for who may have backstabbed her, fans were quick to point out that she used to hangout with Hannah Meloche, Ellie Thumann and James Charles all the time. But she hasn’t been spotted with any of them recently.

Emma also opened up about dealing with haters on social media, but she explained that she would never use her platform to bash others.

“I don’t need to bash,” she added. “It’s unnecessary. What does it do for me? If I have something not positive to say, I’ll keep it to myself. Yeah, everyone thinks things, but you don’t have to say it. You just don’t. I don’t understand why people have to say everything on their mind. I say 99.9 percent of the things on my mind, as long as they are respectful and aren’t going to hurt anyone else’s feelings. I have enough people talking s–t about me, and I know how that feels. The last thing I want to do is put that out into the universe.”

But sometimes, the constant negativity still gets to her.

“Let’s say another YouTuber rates my outfit from Coachella, right?” she continues. “They are completely entitled to their opinion, and I actually really loved my Coachella outfit. If they say, ‘This is ugly,’ and even if I don’t think it’s true, it’s a mood killer. And you would never say that to my face. I don’t like to say things that I wouldn’t want to say to someone’s face. Those are my morals for life.”

She is seriously so strong!
