Erika Costell just released a new track on Dec. 26, and the love song is all about Jake Paul. In the YouTuber’s latest single, “Dynamite,” she sings about her longtime relationship with the Team 10 megastar.
The lyric video, which the singer posted to YouTube, features a bunch of vlog footage. Basically, it’s a montage of Jake and Erika’s cutest moments – which of course, had fans scratching their heads and wondering: Aren’t they broken up? Does this mean they’re back together? Do they still love each other? Well, the 26-year-old seemed to have anticipated all the confusion because she explained herself down below in the description of the video.
“I wrote and recorded this song months ago…Although the situation is very different now, and this part of my life is over…writing this song was one of most powerful things I’ve ever done because it came straight from my heart & I’m still very proud of it. Thank y’all SO much for all your support through the start of my music in 2018. I LOVE YOU,” the model wrote.
So yeah. Turns out, Jerika is still dunzo. But that doesn’t change the love the star had in her heart when she created the romantic tune.

Now, let’s take a look at the lyrics. In the song, she sings: “Got matching tattoos / only would do it with you.” Many believe this refers to the “Chitty Bang” singers’ matching “GOAT” tattoos. The former lovebirds got the identical designs together at the Team 10 house back in January of 2018.
The vlogger also touched on the pressures of fame. Erika sings, “Take away the money / Take away the pressure / You can’t take away the way we feel together.” Ugh, our hearts.
Back in November, Jake took to social media to announce the split.
“I am reluctantly writing this message & can barely hold it together as I do so, but I have been waiting for the right time to make a statement about mine & Erika’s relationship,” the 21-year-old Disney Channel alum wrote in a Twitter statement. “Sadly, Erika and I broke up a while ago and since then, we have been doing our best to work it out and find a solution,” the 21-year-old continued. “After many discussions and some serious soul searching, it became apparent to us weeks ago, that we could no longer be boyfriend & girlfriend. While it was a truly heartbreaking decision, it is the healthiest thing for both of us.”
