Think about it: If someone surprised you with the Dolan Twins, how would you react? Well, in Black-ish star Marsai Martin‘s case, she was totally shook when Ethan and Grayson Dolan appeared in the middle of her interview with ET.
That’s right, you guys! When the 14-year-old was discussing her plans to launch her own YouTube channel, she was asked about her favorite YouTube stars. Of course, she revealed without any hesitation that her all-time faves are the 19-year-old twins, and can we really blame her? We mean, they’re pretty much the heartthrobs of the video platform!
“I don’t know how many times I’m going to say this in films, but I love the Dolan Twins,” the actress revealed.
As you could probably imagine, Marsai was absolutely speechless that she was sitting in the same room as her fave internet stars, but she wasn’t the only one fangirling. Turns out, Ethan and Grayson are huge fans of hers too, and they wanted to her to know how inspired they are that she’s achieved so much at such a young age.
“We just wanted to say thanks so much for your support and everything, and we wanted to let you know that we really support everything you’re doing,” Grayson said.
Then, after revealing that she had just purchased some of their merch, Marsai mustered up the words to ask them about their careers so far, their plans for the future, and of course, for some YouTube advice.
“Right now, YouTube is so much fun,” Grayson said. “… but I want to do it all. I love the space that you’re in… like, acting and everything, but I really enjoy working behind the scenes as well, like direction, producing and all that stuff. So that’s why I’m really inspired by what you’re doing.”
“And I think you’ll be great at YouTube,” Ethan added.
Who knows? Maybe Marsai will be the newest member of the Sister Squad! NGL, we’d totally be here for that. Until then, though, we’re just going to keep watching the video of the twins surprising her over and over again and wishing it were us.
