Bella Thorne stars as CeCe on Disney's hit show Shake It Up which centers in on dancing best friends trying to make it int he biz. J-14 chit-chatted with Bella about her new show, which premieres on Sunday, November 7, Taylor Lautner, and keeping in touch with friends.
J-14: Tell me a little bit about Shake It Up?
Bella Thorne: Shake It Up is a buddy comedy. It's the first of its kind because it's built around dance. It's about two best friends trying to become professional dancers on a show called Shake It Up: Chicago. It's about their journey and the ups and downs of school, and friendship, and boys.
J-14: What is your character like?
Bella: My character, CeCe, is very athletic, very outgoing, and she's not gonna stop at anything to reach her goals in life. And she's ditzy, a little boy crazy! She loves fashion.
J-14: What was it like working on Wizards of Waverly Place?
Bella: Wizards is really fun because everybody is really nice. Selena is so nice — she loves to sing and she goes around set singing. And Jake T. Austin is really nice, too. Everybody is really great, but I love David Henrie — he's hilarious! He's always cracking jokes into the scene and ad-libbing. It's so funny!
J-14: What was it like working with Taylor Lautner on My Own Worst Enemy?
Bella: It was very cool because he's really nice and he's really ticklish! Like you can just go, "I'm gonna tickle you," and not even touch him and he starts laughing saying, "No, please don't!" So, he's really funny.
J-14 How do you balance your busy schedule and find time to keep in touch with your friends when you're working?
Bella: I just find ways to work around the schedule and hang out with friends when I'm off on the weekends mostly. And I also have most of my friends on the Shake It Up set, too. My dance class has all my friends in there so I actually see them a lot.
