Some fans were not happy with Noah Schnapp after he defended Chase Hudson online. Yep, people attempted to “cancel” the Stranger Things actor, and they even got “#NoahSchnappIsOverParty” to trend on Twitter after he stuck up for the controversial TikTok star.

For those who missed it, Chase (who is also known as Lil Huddy) made headlines last month after he was accused of cheating and treating his ex-girlfriend Charli D’Amelio horribly. And when Noah caught wind of all the backlash Chase was getting over the rumors, he sent him a nice message.

“I’m so sorry you get so much hate,” the 15-year-old wrote on one of Chase’s videos. “You really are a good humble kid and I have so much respect for you. Don’t ever change and keep your head high.”

Well, some people were really not here for the Netflix star’s comment, and they took to Twitter to slam him.

“He really defended a racist cheater. Noah, worry about yourself you’re doing fine,” one fan wrote, with another adding, “Not gonna lie, lost a little respect for Noah after seeing what he commented about a racist. But it is what it is.”

Some people, on the other hand, were quick to stick up for Noah.

“This boy did nothing but spread POSITIVITY he didn’t defend Lil Huddy. Leave Noah alone, he was just being the good person that he is and you guys are canceling a CHILD for no reason. You people find any excuse to cancel people. STOP THE #NoahSchnappIsOverParty TAG,” another person tweeted.

#NoahSchnappIsOverParty is the most dumbest tag y’all could’ve made. He was literally trying to be nice and supportive over someone who gets attacked daily he never said ONCE that he excuses his behavior. All he wanted to do was spread love. Why get mad at him for it,” one tweet read.

Back in April, Sway House member Bryce Hall accused Chase of treating Charli “like s**t.”

“Charli is so nice, and we thought the way that [Chase] was treating her was complete s**t,” he told fans during a Skype video call that was screenrecorded and reposted to the TikTok Room Instagram account. “And she’s so young, so she doesn’t know what complete s**t really feels like. And I’m not trying to talk too much s**t on Chase, but he was not a good boyfriend.”

Noah’s comment has now been deleted.
