Today is the 6-year anniversary (bandiversary, we should say) of Fifth Harmony, and we just don’t know where the time has gone. It feels like yesterday when Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Normani Kordei and Lauren Jauregui were one team with one dream – but to very fittingly quote one of Camila’s fan-fave solo jams, things will frankly never be the same.
To celebrate this special day in history, we are resurfacing an iconic relic that really foreshadows the fact that Camila is currently opening for Taylor Swift‘s Reputation Stadium Tour. Back in 2013 when the girl group were still newbies, they stopped by J-14‘s studio and performed a cover of Taylor’s “Red.” And now, Camila joins Taylor every night to sing “Shake It Off.” Plus, they’re legit best friends now, so there’s that too. Camila departed from the group on Dec. 18, 2016, to be exact – and as of May of 2018, the rest of the group went on a hiatus to pursue individual projects. OK, so 2018 might not be 5H’s year for the band as a whole, but each girl is seriously slaying it on a solo level. Not only is Camila killing it on tour with Tay (while also headling her own tour, might we add), but the other gals have exciting things in the works as well.

Lauren’s music video with Halsey for their song “Strangers” just came out this summer – but on top of that, she, Normani and Ally Brooke are all signed to solo deals. And Normani’s song with Khalid, “Love Lies,” is a true jam. As for Dinah, she hasn’t signed to a label, but she has been creating music. That Christmas song she did with Leona Lewis? We get chills every time.
Yep, that’s right. There’s a lot to celebrate on this magical day for 5H stans. Once a Harmonizer, always a Harmonizer.
