Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of the mega successful show, Glee, is speaking out a year after the series wrapped about the drama behind-the-scenes and the last thing Cory Monteith ever said to him. The details are shocking and heartbreaking yet bring to light some of things fans never knew happened between this beloved cast.

Ryan chatted with Entertainment Weekly and said, "It was the best time in my life and the worst time in my life. There was a lot of infighting. There was a lot of people sleeping together and breaking up.

But I also made a mistake: We all got too personal. We loved it so much that we would all go out to dinner and we’d hang out and we were always together, so there was no delineation between who was the boss and who was the employee. And we were all so close that finally when something would happen, it would be so personal to me that I would literally hit the roof."

Wow! Of course, after Naya Rivera released her memoir fans got a glimpse at what kind of tension went on off-screen but we had no idea Ryan really felt like this. What is even more heartbreaking is the last thing Cory spoke to him about. Cue the waterworks.

Ryan confessed, "We hugged, and the last thing he said was 'I love you, man, and thank you for helping me get better.' And then the next thing I knew he was dead. It was like losing a child."

This is just awful. If fans look at the positive side, it's really great that Cory and Ryan's last conversation was so meaningful and had such purpose. What a tragedy it was in the events that followed but it's great that Ryan will always have that last memory.
