Attention Gleeks, Naya Rivera is so here for a Glee reboot. Yep, that’s right, the 32-year-old actress recently dished on getting the whole gang back together for a reunion show.
“I don’t know, but [creator] Ryan Murphy is a genius,” she told People when asked about a new series. “I am sure that he would find some way to do it if he wanted to.”
What would her iconic character, Santana, be doing in 2019? Well, the actress had some awesome ideas.
“I would love to see what Santana has been up to,” she said. “She’s probably a real estate agent and a single mom, somehow, but still a lesbian.”
As fans know, Glee celebrated its ten year anniversary back in May and Naya paid tribute to the show that launched her career on Instagram. On May 19, 2019 she posted a photo of herself as Santana along with a heartfelt caption.
“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years!” she wrote. “I’m so blessed to have been a part of such an amazing show. I’ve made lifelong friends, grew in my craft, and made some of the most beautiful memories because of Glee. I will always be grateful to [20th Century Fox], [Ryan Murphy], [Brad Falchuk], Dana Walden, and Gary Newman for believing in my talents and giving me the opportunity to share them with the world. I love all of our fans who are beyond amazing and saw a little piece of themselves in each one of the characters. Being a part of something special makes you special and Glee will always have a special place in my heart.”
This isn’t the first time Glee cast members have shown interest in a reboot. During a Q&A with fans and followers on Instagram Lea Michele revealed she would be down to reprise her role as Rachel Berry “in a heartbeat.”
