Hey Upper East Siders, it’s happening! Gossip Girl is making a comeback on WarnerMedia’s soon-to-launch streaming service HBO Max.

Yep, that’s right. A total of 10 hourlong episodes have been ordered for the reboot of the original CW series, which originally aired for a total of six seasons from 2007 to 2012. The show will be a new, reimagined iteration of the Gossip Girl we all know and love, and is also based on the book by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series will take place eight years later, following a new generation of private school teenagers living in New York City. Of course, the show will touch on how much social media has changed the NYC landscape and affects the lives of people today.

The original show starred Blake LivelyLeighton MeesterPenn BadgleyChace CrawfordEd Westwick and Taylor Momsen. However, none of them are currently set to appear in the reboot as of now.

But on July 10, Chase did admit that he’s totally not opposed to taking part in a revival.

“I don’t know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I’m open to anything,” the 33-year-old star told Digital Spy. “It would have to be really right, and really specific, and with TV and the golden age of the TV streaming service, maybe an eight-episode season.”

As for Leighton, the 33-year-old revealed back in May that no one has actually asked her to return for a reboot.

“No one’s ever talked to me about it except for in interviews and I always say the same: I never say never, so I don’t know. No one’s sent me that information,” she told E! News.

Original producers Joshua SafranJosh SchwartzStephanie Savage and Leslie Morgenstein all have signed back on to work on the reboot — so we know it’s in good hands!

Here’s to hoping there are some cameos from the OG cast! Either way, we couldn’t be more excited for the revival!
