The show has just started production on Season 2, and Freeform announced which stars are coming back to film another batch of episodes. You’re going to want to go into this upcoming season fully prepared, so we’re breaking down everything you need to know about Season 2 of grown-ish. So, here’s what’s going down.

Who will star in Season 2 of Grown-ish?

Leading lady Yara is being joined once again by Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, and Jordan Buhat. Additionally, it was announced that Chloe and Halle Bailey are being bumped up to regulars, so we can’t wait to see what’s going on in Jazz and Sky Forster’s lives this time around. Luka Sabbat has also been promoted to series regular, reprising his role has Luca Hall – Zoey’s stylish, mellow love interest (er, one of her many love interests) in the first season. And of course, Diggy Simmons (Doug) – who appeard in two episodes of the first season – will return for Season 2 in a recurring role too.

“the crew’s back at it. #grownish season 2 is now in production,” read the caption of a post on the series’ official Instgram account.

When does Season 2 of grown-ish come out?

The second season of grown-ish is set to debut on Freeform in January 2019. We can’t wait!

Where did Season 1 of grown-ish leave off?

In the Season 1 finale of the show, we found out the answer to a burning question: Which guy will Zoey pick? Yara’s character was caught in a serious pickle when it came to her love life. She was romantically involved with Aaron, Luca, and Cash throughout the season – and finally, she had to choose. Aaron wanted to win Zoey over with tickets to Hamilton (hard to pass up, tbh). Cash told Jazz and Sky that he would literally give up joining the NBA and stay at Cal U – if it meant that he could be with Zoey. And in true Luca fashion, he created some seriously cool art using a belt Zoey made in the fashion class they took together.

Ultimately Luca won Zoey’s heart – but who knows if that’ll continue into Season 2. Only time will tell!
