It's been an intense time for politics, and celebrities are definitely passionate about their candidates of choice. In fact, Halsey called out Victorious star Matt Bennett on social media with a super-intense insult over the election. Even though it seems like it's all over the Democratic nomination, the story is more complicated than that. Let's break it down.

The drama started over politics, when director Titanic Sinclair asked Matt if he thought that Halsey voted for Hillary Clinton. The actor responded by saying, "Halsey is touring right now so she probably didn't have time to go to the polls," citing her very "busy schedule." This comment struck the "Colors" singer the wrong way, and she fought back!

Halsey clarified that she's not touring at the moment, and that she's an avid supporter of Bernie Sanders. Then she added, "How do [you] fit being an a–hole into [your schedule?" Yikes! (She has since deleted the tweet.)

It seems like Matt was trying to keep everything cool between them, adding that he voted for Bernie as well. However, it looks like the drama may have been more between Halsey and Titanic. The director has been accused of making offensive jokes about the artist's struggles with depression and making rude comments about her. Since there's really been no interaction between Halsey and Matt before, he might have just gotten caught in the middle.
