Congratulations are in order for Devon Murray because the Harry Potter star just announced that he’s going to become a father! Yep, the actor, who famously played Seamus Finnegan in the magical series, shared the exciting news on Wednesday, July 8, and fans couldn’t be happier for him.
Taking to Instagram, Devon posted a snap of a onesie and a sonogram. Tagging his girlfriend, Shannon McCaffrey, he captioned it, “Baby Murray — 14 of January, 2021.”
That means the baby is due next January, and we can’t wait!
He also added in a comment that the couple is “over the moon.”
“So happy, excited and nervous and can not wait until he/she are in our arms,” he wrote.
Naturally, tons of his celebrity friends (including his HP costars) took to the comment section to congratulate him.
“Awwww congratulations Dev! So happy for you!” Evanna Lynch, who starred as Luna Lovegood gushed. “You’re going to be such a fun dad!”
“Congratulations Dev! So exciting,” Scarlett Hefner, known for her role as Pansy Parkinson in Harry Potter, added.
“Congratulations to you and the missus my brother,” Jamie Waylett, who fans may remember as Vincent Crabbe in the franchise, also commented.
“Great news mate. Huge congratulations,” James Phelps, A.K.A. George Wesley, wrote.
As fans know, he’s not the only HP star to share some exciting news recently. Back in May, Rupert Grint and his girlfriend, Georgia Groome, announced that they had welcomed their first child together.
After the news hit the web, Daniel Radcliffe admitted that it made him feel pretty old.
“I mean that is still wild to me that we are now at the stage were we are having kids and I’m sure that is a fact that makes the rest of the world feel very old,” the former wizard said. “I’m genuinely just so happy for him. He is going to be an awesome dad.”
