UPDATE

LiveNation reached out to J-14 regarding the sizing issue and provided a statement that read, "There was a mistake in size pricing at last night’s show. Harry and his team were unaware and this has now been rectified."

Harry Styles' kicked off his solo tour in San Francisco, California and a lot of fans were very upset with him after they had to pay more money for a ridiculous reason at the merch table. Let's say you're a small person and like to wear big t-shirts or you actually just wear a bigger size, you should be able to pay the same amount for an extra large as you do for an extra small. But, that wasn't the case last night and fans are understandably upset. A photo of the monetary breakdown at the merchandise table has been making its way around the Internet. It's clear that there is an upcharge for sizes L / XL/ XXL at $45. If you want to buy XS / S / M, then it's only $40.

WHAT. THE. Okay, we know what you're thinking. How is this even legal? It obviously doesn't cost five extra dollars to make a large shirt over a medium shirt.

So, what's the sitch? No idea. There really is no explanation for this other than the fact that it is so not cool. It's important to remember, though, that Harry probably didn't select the prices for each of the items. This all comes from a team of people that work to put together the entirety of the show. It's possible that Hazza doesn't even know about the upcharge, however, he may get wind of it since the photo is going completely viral. The whole thing is bizarre in another way, too, because this is so unlike him. Harry has always promoted unity, acceptance, and kindness. Even one of his shirts at the merch table reads, "Treat People With Kindness."

Fans are just as confused as we are and they've taken to social media to voice their opinions. One Twitter user wrote, "not mister harry styles selling treat people with kindness merch yet charging $5 more for larger sizes?."

Another fan was straight and to the point and said, "Ok but why is it cheaper for skinnier people?"

Another said, "clearly the merch label's fault and not harry's but surely that's not ok, especially since it wouldnt cost them $5 more to make a larger top."

It really is just awful when you think about it. What we can say about Harry's merch is that the designs are chic AF. They are totally cool and so on brand with Harry's solo career mantra he's got going on lately. Hopefully, fans see a pricing change during his next gig. We literally cannot imagine the former One Direction crooner would let this slide and in any realm of the universe think that this is okay. Like we said, he has never singled anyone out for being different in the past so why would he start now?
