Fans of K-pop star Heize are rightfully worried about the performer. News has spread that the singer collapsed after performing at the 2017 SBS Gayo Daejun show — an annual year-end program hosted in South Korea on Monday night. Heize, whose real name is Jang Da-hye, was taken the hospital immediately after the incident, and continues to remain there. Not much of her condition is currently known, other than she will be requiring some kind of surgery, according to her representative who released a statement to Metro.

“It seems that Heize’s extremely busy schedule may have taken a toll on her health. Based on her diagnosis at the hospital, it has been decided that she will undergo surgery. For now, her progress must be observed, and it appears that she will be unable to move forward with her plans and scheduled activities for the immediate future,” her representative said in a statement.

No exact reason for her hospitalization has been given yet, but it is being reported that it may have something to do with the "Don't know you" singer's ongoing issues with her throat. No matter what the cause, this news is without a doubt heartbreaking to fans. Though there’s no doubt that they want to see the rapper happy, healthy and recovered before getting back on the road and hitting the stage to entertain those who adore her.

The rapper has yet to say anything about the incident either. Heize’s last post on Instagram was just a few weeks ago. This is just the latest in a string of news that has rocked and shaken the entire world of K-pop. The fandom has been in mourning since learning that SHINee member Jonghyun passed away earlier this month.

Our thoughts are with Heize during this difficult time. We wish her nothing but the best and hope she has a speedy recovery.
