Without a doubt, Liam Payne has a lot on his plate with both the solo music that he plans on releasing soon, and the little bundle of joy he’s set to welcome with Cheryl Cole some time this year.

So it’s not at all surprising to hear that the One Direction member has been seeking some outside help when it comes to songwriting. Specifically, he’s been unknowingly leaning on singer Conor Maynard for material — who had a little bad blood with Liam’s former 1D bandmate, Zayn Malik a few years ago.

In a new interview, the “Can’t Say No,” singer revealed that he’s written a few things for Liam, and even knows the type of music he’s planning on releasing in the future. “He is taking the R&B route. By what I’ve heard it is very much that style. I heard tracks he has been sent to record for it and they’re good,” Conor revealed.

“I haven’t actually spoken to him in a while, I don’t know how close he is to finishing his stuff but I don’t think it will be long now. The guys I’m working with have sent off tracks to him that he’s heard, he might not know it was me who wrote it though,” he continued to say.

Well, our excitement just went into overdrive. This is pretty much confirming that Liam’s solo music does exist, the only sad part is of course the wait considering we don’t know if it’ll be released before or after his child arrives.
