Baby on board! Jamie Lynn Spears took to Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 24 to announce the exciting news that she's pregnant! The former Nickelodeon star is expecting baby No. 2, which will mark the first child for her and her husband, 46-year-old businessman Jamie Watson. Her big announcement came on the 12th day of her social media campaign, #12DaysofJLS where she shared one thing big milestone in her life during the 12 days of Christmas.
"Looks like we are starting off 2018 with another big milestone…sooo [sic] happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister," the 26-year-old wrote on Instagram. "2017 was filled with some of the biggest challenges of my life, as well as some of the biggest blessings, so I made a choice to lay low this year to focus on truly becoming my best self as a person and as an artist."
"During that time, I continued working on my music and telling my story, which has created some of my most honest work and I CANT [sic] wait to share that with you all very soon," she continued. "2018 is going to be filled with many milestones both personally and professionally. I appreciate each of you for your patience and support through it all. 2018 has a lot coming, so GET READY…"
Jamie is already a mom to nine-year-old daughter Maddie Briann Aldridge, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Jamie — who is the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears — was 16 years old when she revealed that she was expecting her first child and the scandal of her teenage pregnancy overshadowed the series finale of her hit TV show Zoey 101, which caused her to stay out of the public eye for years until she re-emerged in 2011 with a new singing career.
