Oops! Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas may be madly in love, but the blonde beauty just revealed that her husband once mistook another woman for her! And get this, you guys — the Jonas Brothers singer almost planted a big smooch on the other woman! Wow, talk about a close call.
While speaking to Australia radio show Nova’s Smallzy’s Surgery on Thursday, June 6, Sophie, 23, told the hilarious story.
“On Game of Thrones, actually, I had a [stunt] double that people would do double takes at because she looked so much like me, it was insane,” she said. “Even Joe went up to her at one point and tried to give her a kiss. And he was like, ‘Oh, Sorry, sorry it’s not Sophie, wrong one!'”
LOL. So awkward. The stunt double’s name is Megan Parkinson, and we’re not going to lie, she does look scarily similar to Sophie.
The actress also revealed that she had a few stunt doubles on the set of her new film, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but this time, she wasn’t worried about Joe getting confused.
“They don’t really look like me,” she explained. “First of all, they are much fitter, have much more muscle and just better looking aesthetically in general.”
As fans know, Sophie and the 29-year-old “Sucker” crooner started dating back in October 2016, and announced they were getting married one year later. And on May 1, 2019, they shocked the world when they had a surprise wedding in Las Vegas after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards.
And it’s pretty clear that these two are soulmates, despite the stunt double mishap. How do we know, you ask? Well, they’re constantly goofing off and having the best time together, posting adorable, PDA-filled pictures, supporting each other’s work and gushing over each other in interviews. Sophie even revealed that her husband “saved her life” by teaching her how to love herself.
