Though it has been revealed that Justin Bieber was the one who wanted to sing in Spanish in the remix for the hit song "Despacito," it looks like the singer did not fully commit to actually learning and internalizing the tune's lyrics.

During a recent appearance at New York City's 1oak, the singer got on stage to sing the Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi jam and it turns out he totally forgot the lyrics. While most people might have been embarrassed by this, Justin's reaction was a bit off-putting since he continued to make a mockery of it singing "bah bah bah bah" instead of the actual words. Yikes!

The appearance was not an official concert that he would have had the chance to prepare for, but Luis saying the singer was adamant about singing in Spanish almost made it seem like he would have wanted to really learn the words.

Justin made not have gotten the lyrics to his own song right, but South Korean boy band BTS gave singing the tune a shot on the Billboard Awards red carpet and they absolutely nailed it—well, kind of. LOL. At least they tried and had great energy while doing so.

BTS also beat out Justin in the Top Social category at the award show, so it looks like they might be picking up some pointers from the Canadian singer. Perhaps this will inspire both acts to jump on a song together and create another global hit like "Despacito." A K-Pop group and a Canadian singer on the same track? Exactly what our ears need to hear right now.
