The drama just never ends, does it? Just weeks after Justin Bieber urged his fans to stop shipping him with his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, he got caught seemingly searching her up on the web. Yikes!
OK, so let us explain: The “Love Yourself” crooner took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 27 to slam a news article that totally spelled his name wrong. He posted a video of his computer screen, but when he accidentally showed his search history for a second, fans quickly noticed that Selena’s Coachella performance of her song with DJ Snake and Ozuna, “Taki Taki,” was there! Naturally, the internet went wild.
Don’t worry, Justin! We’ve all checked on our exes before; it’s completely normal. But the 25-year-old took to Instagram again, where he insisted that he didn’t search for her after all.
“The video of Selena singing ‘Taki Taki’ came up after my wife and I watched my Coachella performance. Obviously she’s going to be in the related category. It literally was the next video that played,” he wrote. “To fans and people who think I’m maliciously trying to start s–t, grow up.”
“Please stop reading into things so much and making something out of nothing,” he added. “The point of the video was supposed to be funny that they … spelled my name wrong this idea that I secretly [plotted] on opening my history thing purposefully and [zoomed] out just enough so you can see her name is crazy. These are real lives you guys are talking about. Real emotions. Stop acting like you know anything anything… Go to school, read your books and focus on your own personal life.”
“People have their own fantasies about how they think my life should go and make up all these theories and use their imagination too much,” he wrote in one last comment. “This ends here. [I] will never re-engage with this but [I] had to set the record straight once and for all. We are adults we’re not playing games. There always gonna be something.”
As fans know, this isn’t the only rant the singer has gone on about the topic recently. Back in March, he lashed out a fan who claimed he was only married to Hailey Baldwin to get his ex’s attention. OK, so as much as we all miss Jelena, it’s pretty clear how in love with Hailey Justin is at this point. And his happiness is what’s most important, right?
