Katy Perry released "Swish Swish" featuring Nicki Minaj last week, a song aimed at her haters and said to be a retaliation to her longtime enemy Taylor Swift's song "Bad Blood." The two stars have always sidestepped questions and have never outright talked about their feud but Katy appeared in James Corden's Carpool Karaoke and confirmed that a beef does exist between the two, and also expressed her wish for it to be over.

The two stars sang her hits "Firework," "Dark Horse," "Roar," (unfortunately leaving out "Teenage Dream") and her new songs "Bon Appétit" and the Taylor diss, "Swish Swish." That is when James asked her to clarify all the rumors about the situation.

“There’s a situation. Honestly, it's really like she started it and it’s time for her to finish it," Katy said.

"I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn't speak to me. I do the right thing when it feels like a fumble. It was a full shut down and then she writes a song about me. So I'm like okay, cool. That’s how you want to deal with it? Karma!"

"But what I do want to say I’m ready for that B.S. to be done. Now there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, there’s going to be a reaction. And trust me, daddy. There's going to be a reaction.”

James, speaking for all of us, mentioned how weird it was for her to call him daddy but alas. Katy then proceeded to say she is ready to "take the beef off the grill," saying, “Do you know that I think personally? Women together, not divided and none of this petty sh-t, women together will heal the world.”

So what exactly would it take for them to end this altogether for the sake of music and the fans? All Katy is asking for is a text from T. Swift and they can finally put this whole thing to rest. Did you hear that, Tay? All the world (and Katy) is asking is for a simple text and we can all gleefully move on and then we can patiently await one of the biggest women empowerment collaborations in pop history?

We can only dream. Also, it would have helped for the "Teenage Dream" singer to not drop a response song, but it is a little too late for that now.
