After Zendaya made the Disney Channel fandom fall in love with her on Shake It Up, the network had no choice but to bring her back for her own show. It was then that K.C. Undercover was born and the rest is history. While the show is in the middle of its third season, Zendaya is already thinking about moving on. She confirmed that the show is “probably” ending soon and we’re basically sobbing. Usually, if a Disney Channel show is super popular, the network lets it run for at least four seasons. The fact that Zendaya is talking about the end coming up really soon is something we’re not ready for.
Z chatted with Entertainment Tonight at Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood and said of the show coming to a close, “I’m assuming so. I’m growing up, and there’s a lot of other things I want to do in my career. K.C.’s, you know, she’s growing up, she’s becoming a young woman, and there’s been a lot of talk this season about her going to college. So, I think so.”
Sheesh, she could have spared our hearts just a little bit and not have been so blunt about it. Kidding. But, seriously, it seems like Zendaya is definitely ready to move on and lay her Disney Channel days to rest. Of course, we could have blown this off but her co-star, Veronica Dunne, even mentioned the end of the series. So, now, they’ve really got our attention.

“We had such a great run and everyone’s growing up. I can’t answer that for sure, but if it was [ending], I think it’d just be a great way to end this season, and end this show, because it’s come to a great end and a beautiful family has grown up. So, I’m happy about it either way,” Veronica said.
I’m sorry WHAT? Do they know something we don’t? Have they already filmed the final episode? Is this some sort of trickery or is it actually real? While it seems like the girls are hinting at a possible conclusion of the show, nothing has been confirmed. Will Season 3 be the end or will there be a Season 4?! Answers we all need. But until then, we’ll just pretend we didn’t hear all of that.
