Kendall Jenner may be put on a pedestal – given her famous family and supermodel status, of course. But guess what? She’s a living, breathing human…just like us. She has feelings, flaws – and yes, she also gets acne.

The night of the 2018 Golden Globes was a very positive environment this year for a very empowering reason. All the stars wore black as a sign of solidarity, to promote the Time’s Up movement – which strives to put an end to sexual harassment and gender inequality. The topics of conversation on the red carpet were meaningful, important, and truly exemplified the core meaning of #GirlPower. So that fact people focusing on Kendall’s flaws was very much the opposite of the positivity everyone was trying to promote that night. But rather than let it get her down, Kendall took it all with a grain of salt.

One particular fan tweeting in support of the star, and Kendall’s sweet response was both encouraging and positive. Watch the video below to see the photos Kendall got slammed over and how Kendall took it all with such class.

Kendall has previously opened up on her app (which she’s no longer updating in 2018, FYI) about how acne affected her self-confidence in the past. But now, she’s super secure in who she is. Nothing can stop her from living her life, not even a few pimples.

“Where it really impacted me was how self-conscious I became about it. It completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn’t even look at people when I talked to them,” she wrote. “I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face. Sure, I had crushes in high school, but I wouldn’t even think about looking at guys.”

So there you have it. Not even one of the most famous supermodels in the world can be perfect – and that right there is beautiful.
