Nickelodeon's 4th Annual 2017 Kids' Choice Sports Awards are upon us. This year's Kids' Choice Sports Awards were held at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion on July 13, 2017. The biggest names and influencers in sports gathered together to recognize the many achievements of athletes across all disciplines. Here's what you need to know:

What channel is the Kids' Choice Sports Awards on?

Though the awards took place already (so you might have seen a few pics on Instagram), the full-length event coverage will air on television for the first time on Nickelodeon on Sunday, July 16 at 8 p.m ET/PT.

Who was at the Kids' Choice Sports Awards?

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson hosted the awards for the third year in a row. The all-star guest list included all your favorite athletes from Michael Phelps and Shaun White to Lindsey Vonn and Simone Biles.

A bunch of your favorite Nickelodeon stars were also in attendance, such as Nick Cannon, Daniella Monet, Ella Anderson, Tony Cavalero, Riele Downs, Madisyn Shipman and Lilimar Hernandez.

The Kids' Choice Sports Awards recognizes athletes in diverse and sometimes super specific categories. These accolades include everything from the more expected awards such as Best Male/Female Athlete to the more outrageous honors such as Don't Try This at Home and King/Queen of Swag.

Who won the Kids' Choice Sports Awards nominations?

Olympic swimmer Katie Ledecky and tennis star Serena Williams received the most nominations with three chances to win each.

What happened at the 2017 Kids' Choice Sports Awards?

This year, Phelps was honored with the Legend Award. The achievement recognizes one athlete each year for being the ultimate role model to children everywhere. Sports legends David Beckham, Derek Jeter and Kobe Bryant have received the award in the past. Then, in typical Nickelodeon fashion, Phelps was slimed.
