Ever since the news hit the web that they’re making a sequel to To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, there’s been one question on everyone’s mind. And that’s “who will star as John Ambrose?” There’s certainly been a ton of rumors about it — from Dumplin’ hottie Luke Benward to Riverdale star Cole Sprouse — the suggestions have been wild. Well guys, Lana Condor just revealed who she wants to play the part — and it’s totally not who you’d expect.

Turns out, the actress actually wants her co-star Noah Centineo to play the infamous John Ambrose! Um, what? As you all know, the 22-year-old is already starring as Peter Kavinsky in the movie, and as much as we’d all love some more Noah on the screen, that might make the movie a little confusing. LOL.

“Anyone with a good heart [would be perfect],” she told Buzzfeed on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019. “It doesn’t matter about names or anything like that, just someone who’s a good person — like Noah… if he could play two characters!”

A girl can dream, right? The actress also revealed that she’s got a few other actors in mind for the much-anticipated sequel. “I would die,” she gushed when the outlet suggested that 13 Going On 30 actor Mark Ruffalo appear as Peter’s dad in the film. Lana also added that she’d love to work with “the Rock. [That] would be kind of cool, too,” she added.

As J-14 readers know, in the first movie, Lara Jean Covey wrote five letters to boys she used to love — one which was returned to her house since it was addressed to her camp, and three that got delivered to the boys in her school. But what about that fifth letter? In the film, Lara Jean explained that the final boy she wrote a love note to was John Ambrose McClaren, who she met at Model UN, so he didn’t live in her town. But the Netflix rom-com ended with him showing up at her door, flowers in hand, ready to stir up some drama.

And although Lana admitted she hasn’t gotten the script for the much-anticipated sequel, she revealed that she’s really excited for her character to get involved in a major love triangle with Peter and John. “There’s nothing more fun than a love triangle,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “The drama? I live for the drama!”

Plus, Noah’s already confirmed that he’s here for a love triangle too, when he told ET last month that he’s ready to fight with John for Lara Jean. “I want people to get behind John, I want people to get behind Josh, I want people to get behind all the characters,” he told the outlet. “I would like to see fans bicker about it and have it be like the whole Edward Cullen-Jacob thing [from Twilight]. I love that.”

Yeah, the movie seriously sounds like it’s getting better and better by the minute.
