During a recent interview with MTV, songstress Leigh-Anne Pinnock recalled the moment she “nearly” killed her Little Mix bandmates — Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall — while filming the “Shout Out To My Ex” music video back in 2016. And get this — it wasn’t the first time they had a near-death experience together.
Yep, after a fan asked which of their music video worlds they would want to “live” in, the band shared multiple stories about when they almost died in two separate car accidents because of Leigh-Anne.
“Wait did I nearly, like, kill you guys in the car?” Leigh-Anne asked after Perrie revealed she would live in the “Shout Out To My Ex” video. “Did I crash into a ditch or did I nearly crash into a ditch?”
Thankfully, the singer explained further after the rest of the girl group confirmed that, yes, she crashed the car.
“At the time, I was the only one that could drive — and I’m just not a very good driver — and I crashed the car into a ditch,” the 28-year-old remembered. Perrie added, “It was like a cliffside, it wasn’t just a ditch. It felt like the whole car was going to tip. We were so scared.”
“I’m just a bit of a liability when it comes to driving,” Leigh-Anne added. “That’s the second time I nearly killed you actually.”
As it turned out, after they were first put together on The X Factor, the girls all went and hung out together near Perrie’s house. While they were driving and, naturally, rocking out to a Beyoncé song, Leigh-Anne swerved the car and crashed into a bus!
“I think there’s a common thread here,” Perrie joked. “Do not get into the car with Leigh-Anne. That’s what we should all learn by now.”
Leigh-Anne agreed, “Yeah, just don’t.”
