Showing off your body off to the world is definitely not easy, just take it from Lili Reinhart. The actress just opened up about filming scenes of Riverdale in her bra and underwear, and she admitted that she felt “really insecure” during them.

“I don’t have the CW girl body — tiny waist, nice-shaped legs, skinny, small, tiny,” she told the Los Angeles Times during a recent interview. “I had to do a bra and underwear scene in this last season and I felt really insecure about it. I really, really didn’t want to do it. I didn’t tell anyone this. I wasn’t pressured into doing it. I did it because it was my job. But I felt bad about myself doing it. I really did. And this is where it gets complicated.”

The 23-year-old explained that in the end, she decided to do it so she could set an example for other young girls who look up to her.

“I can’t preach body positivity if I don’t practice it,” she continued. “So even if I’m not feeling amazing about my body, I felt it was important for me to do the scene anyway in my bra and underwear so people could see my body as it was. I did it for the people who feel like they need to look a certain way.”

During the interview, the blonde beauty also got real about how the show is going to change following Vanessa Morgan‘s recent comments. For those who missed it, the star completely slammed the writers of the CW show for making her a sidekick in a series of tweets posted on May 31, 2020, following the tragic death of George Floyd.

I’m not being [quiet] anymore,” she captioned a powerful post that read, “Tired of how black people are portrayed in media. Tired of us being portrayed as thugs, dangerous or angry, scary people. Tired of us also being used as side kick non-dimensional characters to our white leads. Or only in the ads for diversity but not actually in the show. It starts with the media. I’m not being [quiet] anymore.”

Now, Lili vowed that the show is going to do better.

“I mean, the show historically has been pretty white. [Creator] Roberto [Aguire-Sacassa] is very conscious of it now to make sure that that doesn’t happen again and Vanessa doesn’t feel that she’s put in that position again,” she explained.
