An 8-year-old girl from Manchester who is battling leukemia is over the moon after receiving a personalized video message from Little Mix. Stephen Nicholas launched a campaign on social media asking the girl group to visit his daughter Emmie at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital after it emerged she would be too ill to go to their show at The Arena on Wednesday.

In a series of tweets, Stephen revealed, "Help needed – my daughter Emmie was diagnosed with leukemia back in September 2017. After some difficulties, she got hold of some Little Mix tickets. Unfortunately, Emmie is not going to be able to attend this concert, as she is still [too] unwell. What I’m aiming to do is to get Little Mix to visit Ward 84 at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, to see Emmie and the other children on the ward."

Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall saw Stephen's post, which was shared thousands of times on both Facebook and Twitter. They've since sent a video with a message for Emmie…

Jade said, "We just want to send you a little message to say that we're thinking of you lots and lots, and we're all going to miss you at the show, but we'll definitely be thinking of you when we're performing tonight."

"We think you're amazing and we're so proud of you for being very very brave. You've a superstar. Sending you lots and lots of lovely hugs and kisses!" Perrie added.
