Lucy Hale just showed us how to turn lemons into lemonade with a single message. The Pretty Little Liars actress was caught in a scandal this week when some nude photos of her were leaked and spread online and she is now saying that it was done without her constant.
The actress posted a long message to her Twitter account saying that at first she was not going to comment on the situation but that since she plans on being truthful in the new year, she felt like she had to.
“Well, I wasn’t going to comment on something so ridiculous, but since 2017 is gonna be all about speaking my truth…I’m going to say something. Once again, a woman in the public eye was violated, stolen from and her private life and body were exposed for anyone to see. I will not apologize for living my life and having a personal life that is all mine," she said since there have been many other cases of celebrities going through similar situations.
"It's truly unfortunate that being exposed in this way is allowed," she said about the unfortunate incident.
Her fans have been supporting her since the news broke out, even before she tweeted out the message and she remembered to thank them in her message saying:
"Thank you for all the sweet, supportive messages I've been receiving. It was a much needed reminder that I'm surrounded by so much love. I appreciate you all very much. And to whoever did this...kiss my *ss."
Fans from all over she her their love with a user with the Twitter handle Lucys_Unicorn saying, "Thank you for being the wonderful and inspiring human being you are ❤️ I love you more than you can imagine."

Fans from all over the world joined in to show their love and loyalty with TabataCPetch saying: " Love you princess, Brazil is with you ❤"
And some were proud of her reaction:
i honestly cant even express how proud i am of @lucyhale rn. i am legit laughing at all the haters who think they got to her— flashy diva (@EzriaIsLife) December 23, 2016
The Daily Mail is reporting that her legal team is sending a letter to the site, Celeb Jihad, threatening them for publishing the photos. The star is claiming that she owns the pictures and they were obtained illegally by someone who hacked into her phone after sending them to a friend.
The actress could have easily chosen to never discuss the topic but it took a lot of bravery for her to speak up against these sort of violations that happen to people so often with little to no repercussions. Just because they are celebrities it does not mean they are not human beings who are entitled to their own freedoms and private lives. She has young fans who will undoubtedly learn from this situation and we hope they make the right choices.
