You may know Madelaine Petsch best from her breakout role as the fierce AF Cheryl Blossom in The CW‘s Riverdale, but what if we told you she isn’t a stranger to the red carpet? In addition to playing Marissa in the movie ‘F*&% the Prom,’ Madelaine has starred in some other roles beginning in 2014. But previous to that, she actually dated a pretty famous guy that had her walking a major red carpet in 2014 pre-fame. Who is it, you ask? It’s Aaron Carter.

Madelaine joined Aaron at the A Haunted House 2 back then, but it is safe to say the relationship didn’t last long. It was weird from the moment everyone found out about his relationship with Madelaine because it happened after Aaron went on a rant about losing his ex Hilary Duff, who he called the love of his life. In a tweet that no longer exists, Aaron wrote, “On a lighter note I get to see my beautiful girlfriend MP who loves me & cares about me so much in like 20 minutes! Ahhh I’m so happy.” The singer was 26 years old at the time, while Madelaine was 19.

Hmm, okay then. Well anyway, there is no question that this relationship essentially happened in another life – especially considering the fact that a particular tweet of Madelaine’s seems to allude to her ex. After all, Aaron was very vocal about his support for current Preseident Trump while he as running. That is, until he ultimately changed his mind.

So yeah, that’s long behind her. In fact, she’s super in love with her current bae Travis Mills – and let us tell you, they met in a super cute way. Although their stories kind of don’t add up in the funniest way.

“I drove down to Riverdale, ordered a milkshake at Pop’s diner. I threw it all over the diner. She was like, ‘I like your style.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, come with me.’ And I drove her back to California and never let her leave,” Travis spilled in Madelaine’s #AskMads YouTube video.

As great of a story as that is, it is definitely not what really happened. They actually met after he auditioned for Jughead.

“He messaged me on Facebook in January of season one and congratulated me on the show. He had auditioned for Jughead. I think we just randomly had mutual friends, so we added each other. We kept in touch very rarely, not even that much, from January to February, and then the day I got back from season one in February I was bored in L.A., believe it or not. I was like, ‘What am I gonna do?’ I got my hair cut and he texted me like, ‘Let’s go to a movie!’ We hung out and spent every single day together that I’ve been in L.A. since then, since February,” Madelaine said in an interview.

OUR HEARTS. Is that not the cutest thing you ever did hear?
