Add Maroon 5 to the long list of artists who are just dying to hop on the BTS bandwagon. No really though, it seems as though the K-pop band has a line out the door of stars who are just dying to collaborate with them, so this really comes by no surprise. However, the weird part is that after Maroon 5 mysteriously teased a collab, they then deleted their tweets.
It all started when a BTS fan tweeted in response to the music video teaser Maroon 5 posted on Twitter. "PLEASE MAKE A COLAB WITH @BTS_twt 💕💕💕," the message read, complete with tons of pink heart emojis.
The band responded with a simple smiley face – which duh, gave everyone some hope. "Don't play with my emotions! Tell me this means you'll do a collaboration with @BTS_twt," someone else wrote.
While they didn't ~say~ anything in response, their choice of gif was quite smug if you ask us. Another excited fan then chimed in, "But really what is the answer? 😭😂" – to which the band replied, "not sure you can handle it."

Now for some reason behind our comprehension, all of the band's tweets are now deleted. But thanks to some fans who just also happen to be v keen investigators, the screenshots will remain to live on.
omg the fact that a maroon 5 x bts collaboration track can come out at any second,, i'm shaking pic.twitter.com/12U0R4bMVu— bultao-rene (@busantiques) January 17, 2018
It's not like a BTS collab is out of the question. After all Maroon 5 is always pairing up with artists to create smash hits ("Don't Wanna Know" featuring Kendrick Lamar, "What Lovers Do" featuring SZA, "Help Me Out" with Julia Michaels, "Payphone" featuring Wiz Khalifa – just to name a select few). So quit playing games with our hearts, Maroon 5. Will ya? A potential new BTS song is nothing to joke about.
So excuse us while we just sit here wondering if this'll ever happen for all of eternity.
