Nantucket native Meghan Trainor has come a long way since her days on the island. She just recently announced that she scored a voice over job in the new Smurfs movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village. She'll be voicing the character, Smurf Melody and we're super excited for her.

Meghan has been totally breaking out of her shell lately. Ever since she went brunette, released some sultry songs and changed up her musical direction a bit, fans have been treated to a whole new side to her. This might be the first time Meghan is voicing a character, but this isn't the first time she's been involved in an animated movie. Remember, Peanuts, anyone?

Regardless, Meghan was ecstatic to share the Smurfs news with her Megatronz. She posted this photo on Instagram with the caption, "IM CRAZY EXCITED to be a part of the @SmurfsMovie as the VOICE of Smurf Melody ?First voice over gig ever?? #IMALADY #SmurfsMovie #SmurfMelody."

But this isn't it! Meghan actually dropped her brand new single today and it's for the movie. The track is titled "I'm A Lady," and it's a total jam. To be honest, we wouldn't expect anything less from her. As the songstress announced the huge news on social media, she thanked the most unexpected person ever – her mom!

It was super cute and she admitted that her mom was actually the person that helped her write this song. Yes, Meghan wrote this song, too. Is there anything this gal can't do? We have yet to find something!

The "All About That Bass" singer posted this photo on Instagram with the caption, "Been waiting for this picture for a long time! Thank you to the amazing producers @martinrenealien and #themonsters&strangerz @therealmarclo thank you to my mama for helping me write this sassy/powerful song @kelliatrainor she won't admit it but she was by my side supporting me while I wrote it ?? #ImALady."

Here's the full audio for the song! And yes, we've had it on repeat all day.

Meghan has definitely had her ups and downs over the past few years having to cancel her tour because of health issues and get surgery. Finally, 2017 seems to be her year. We're so excited to catch her in Smurfs: The Lost Village movie! Until then, "I'm A Lady" has totally got us in the mood for what seems like a super successful flick.

Congratulations, Meghan!
