For those who thought they’d seen the last of Miley Cyrus on the big screen, they’re sure in for a big surprise.

Of course, the singer was extremely busy with her coaching responsibilities on the last season of the singing reality competition show The Voice, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t have some time to explore other huge career opportunities.

Miley has now officially joined the list of former Disney Channel stars that are venturing out into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The “Wrecking Ball” singer has now been confirmed by Disney to have an uncredited cameo in the new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film, which is set to hit theaters in May.

So who is she playing? Her character’s name is Mainframe – who’s a form of evolved technology, like a computer. Sadly, this means only her voice will be making an appearance this time around, but that doesn’t mean we won’t see her in a future Guardians or Avengers film. As many fans already know, these films love to bring back the smaller characters they’ve used in previous films for bigger roles in future movies. So the songstress could very well be on her way to donning a superhero suit.

How amazing would that be?

Something else that would be equally as epic and amazing? Miley and Zendaya sharing the big screen together. As everyone knows by now, the K.C. Undercover star has a mysterious and huge role in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, which will hit theaters later this summer. Both films take place within the same universe, so seeing the two starlets together wouldn’t be totally out of the question.

Miley has yet to say anything about her new role, but as the release date gets closer we’re sure she’ll post something witty about it on social media – as she always does.
