Today, Miley Cyrus is not afraid to speak her mind, show off her sexuality or admit that she's kissed a girl. But, that wasn't always the case.
In light of National Coming Out Day, a new interview has been released where the Hannah Montana alum talks about how her first real relationship was with a girl. This is turning heads because fans have always thought her first relationship was with Nick Jonas when the pair were in their early teen years.
However, it looks like that was not the case and we think it's pretty amazing that Miley is finally opening up about that special person that came before the Jonas brother.
She said, "My whole life, I didn't understand my own gender and my own sexuality. I always hated the word 'bisexual,' because that's even putting me in a box. I don't ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl. My eyes started opening in the fifth or sixth grade. My first relationship in my life was with a chick."

The "Wrecking Ball" singer continued, "The universe has always given me the power to know I'll be OK. Even at that time, when my parents didn't understand, I just felt that one day they are going to understand."
"Once I understood my gender more, which was unassigned, then I understood my sexuality more. I was like, 'Oh—that's why I don't feel straight and I don't feel gay. It's because I'm not.' … I'm the only f–king Disney star who would say I'm pro lesbian and gay, before it was OK to say that," she said.
YASSS Miley! In recent years, Miley has branded herself as this person who is honest and open when it comes to her sexuality and it looks like she doesn't plan to stop anytime soon.
