Fans of Camila Cabello know that aside from being a talented singer and songwriter, the musician has a not-so-secret past as a One Direction fan girl. Yup, the “Havana” songstress was a huge Directioner who not only ran a fan account for the guys, but was just as heartbroken as the rest of us when Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the group.
Now that she’s had major success on her own and as a part of Fifth Harmony, Camila has even gone on to befriend the guys she used to know every bit about — talk about having some major envy, tbh. What fan doesn’t want to hang out with musicians they’re totally obsessed with?
Though that’s not all the Irish heartthrob is spilling the tea on. In a new interview with the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, the “This Town” singer revealed that he and the rest of the 1D guys totally knew about the full effect the band has had on Camila’s life. “I remember, we went to perform on X Factor in the states when Fifth Harmony were on it. She was freaking out, she told us she had a One Direction Twitter account, she was crying. I’m sorry Camila, I’ve told the whole world,” Niall spilled.
Oops! Talk about spilling a little too much, but turns out that the “Slow Hands” singer wasn’t the only one who knew about this Twitter account. Turns out the rest of the guys did too, and they don’t seem phased by it. If anything, we bet they’re totally flattered, but Camila is totally gonna get back at Niall for sharing this tidbit with the world.
The “Bad Things” singer has gone on to become pretty close with Niall Horan, who is totally a fan of her own solo music – something he proved when rocking out to her track during an Instagram live session. This fun back and forth has made fans want nothing more than a collab between the two, and they admitted that they’re totally down for it. Come on, guys! We’re ready for it.
