Today is the day Niall Horan released his second single “Slow Hands” and it’s super sexy. The song is seriously a jam yet it is much different than fans have ever heard from the Irish heartthrob. However, this day was also huge for Nialler because he started doing some promo for his new music.

Niall chatted with Dan Wootton on his first Bizarre Life podcast series in an extensive interview. Not only did Niall drop some major bombshells about his new music but also his love life, the future of One Direction, whether or not Zayn Malik could reunite with the band and what really happened when Louis Tomlinson’s mother passed away.

Niall’s words will break your heart but also give fans the hope they need that One Direction is not over forever. It will give you hope that all of the boys are excited for the future, excited for what is happening in the moment and just the general feeling that life is so freaking sweet.

This is Niall’s first big interview alone – without the comfort of the 1D boys. He handled it with grace and was super honest. Finally, he hasn’t left anything to the imagination. Directioners may have finally got most of the answers they were looking for all along!

Niall's new single "Slow Hands" wasn't inspired by his real life.

"It surprised me. Yeah, it’s crazy I think that this is the most out there song on the album. I just wanted to try something different. When it started coming together I started getting a bit freaked out. I remember telling the producer, it’s time to start toning things back a bit so it doesn’t sound as funky but then I grew into it and I really liked it. It was a random song that came about I actually wrote it with the guy who wrote “When We Were Young” with Adele…and he just started playing this thing at the start bum bum bum bum, at the start of the song he started playing that at the piano and it just went from there and it just felt like it was starting to get sexy.

We started playing bass onto it and then we just came up with this concept. I was listening to some 70s like early 80s Don Henley on the way to the studio that day and I kind of had this like funk beat in my head and then this song kind of just took a life of its own really. We just made up this concept of a sexy night out and the lyrics are pretty self-explanatory…Like meet up with this girl, in a club and hope that she’s gonna come home with you type thing, I guess."

Niall Gets Set Up on Dates and Refuses to Use Tinder.

"Yeah, well, it’s [dating] feasible…I have mutual friends with people and they set me up, I guess. But, no…Imagine being on Tinder? It’d be uproar. Yeah, I don’t think the online dating thing is for me, it’s not really my thing. It’s not very practical. Yeah, I’m more bumping into someone in a bar or someone introduces me to someone. I’m also quite shy, you’d be surprised. I’m not very good at talking to them, I’m not very good at talking to them. Yeah, I think I’m just a bit shy, get butterflies."

Niall Admits to Dating Beautiful Women While in One Direction.

"Well, they are friends of mine still and you know it’s not like I had a really long relationship or anything like that but I dated and dabbled… but I was never around enough to create anything like that and I’m fine with that I’m 23. I got plenty of years ahead of me for that stuff."

Niall's Favorite Snapchat Profile Is Ariana Grande's.

"I find Ariana Grande is really interesting. I think she’s unbelievable with the fans like I’m just not that social. I’m going to try and get better at it. But, I think she’s like, I’ve hung out with Ariana and she feels upset if she doesn’t get to like spend time with her fans or go outside to the hotel and she wears the ears that they make for her and I just find her Snapchat profile quite cool."

Niall Flew Home Immediately After Finding Out Louis Tomlinson's Mom Died.

"It was [emotional]. Watching him out there, you know that’s a tough song to sing and being out there on your own for the first time in the week that something like that happens must have been horrific for him. But, you know it was a no brainer, I was in America at the time, I was in New York and I heard about it and there was no doubt that was the next thing I was doing and I had the day off the next day so I was like gone straight away. So we all flew home and we didn’t want it to be like a whole publicity thing cause like…just in and out and seeing Louis for what it was and just being there to support him. It was a tough time, you know."

Niall Still Hangs Out and Golfs With Justin Bieber.

"Yeah, I play a bit of golf with him sometimes. He lives down the road from me in LA and he’d probably say himself [whose better at golf] but he’s wrong. But, you know, I play a lot more than him. But, yeah I still chat to him, he’s a great guy. He’s in a good space at the minute. So I’m happy for him."

Niall Hasn't Met Liam Payne's Baby Yet.

"This is the problem I’ve been having. I was telling Simon about it actually, I have my presents ready and I text Liam the other day and I was going to see him last Friday and then he’s in America and then when I leave this week he comes back here and I just keep missing him. But, I go away now to do some promo and when I get back that’s probably the first thing ill be doing to try and get down there cause the child will be like two months old by then."

"When it’s completely you, I guess you get to express yourself completely where it’s like all the songs you’ve written yourself, you know exactly how you want it to sound, I get to play the instruments with the band and yes it’s that way. I think time was a big thing you know I had loads of time to sit back and write the album exactly how I wanted."

Niall Travelled Extensively to Exotic Countries Right After the One Direction Hiatus.

"When I went traveling straight away in January, that was probably my best decision cause I just got away from it all straight away, didn’t spend time sitting around moping about it [the 1D hiatus].

Yeah, so two of my cousins were living in Australia and one of them was moving back so we went through LA and then we went down to Australia and then we just went up through southeast Asia, through Bali, a couple of islands in the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, yeah and then home.

I spent, sounds like quite an arsey thing to say but I spent a lot of time on jets and 5-star hotels and to go from that to that, that difference was just great. I’m a pretty normal guy anyways so it wasn’t a big shock to me, I don’t mind it."

Niall Said It Was Very Hard to Leave Simon Cowell's Record Label.

"Yeah, it was [hard]. You know I had great conversations with Simon about it."

"Please don’t hate me. You know, as I said, we were very close with Simon for years and we had a lot of success together and I just felt like, and this is the god’s honest, I felt like I just needed a fresh start. That’s a long time to be at a label and I just wanted to broaden my horizons and try something new."

"Well, we obviously had some chats [about leaving] and meetings and stuff like that and it was a bit of back and forth between labels and stuff like that and it was literally like what I just said to you, I think I need a fresh start, no hard feelings. And he was basically the same, we had a lot of success together, we both know that and when One Direction comes back we still have albums there to do."

Niall Thinks Harry Styles' New Single "Sign of the Times" Is Exactly What He Expected.

"I think people were a little bit shocked by it, by the song. I don’t think so at all, I think that’s very Harry and I really enjoy it I really like it, it’s a great song. It’s very Harry and his SNL thing was brilliant."
