In case you were wondering, Nick Jonas is so down to play the role of Batman in the next movie.
That’s right, fam! Ben Affleck will sadly be hanging up his cape for good, so of course, fans of the superhero flicks have wasted no time speculating about who will take on the iconic role next.
Instagram account @hypebeast shared the news, explaining that the next movie will come out in 2021 and will be titled The Batman. They also said the movie will primarily focus on a younger Bruce Wayne. Immediately, ideas of hot, young actors flooded through our brains — Scott Eastwood? Liam Hemsworth? Zac Efron? All good options in our humblest of opinions, but the “Jealous” singer has someone else in mind. Himself!
The former Disney star hit up the comments to shoot his shot, saying, “First name Nick. Last name Jonas.”
Of course, some fans of the JoBro were totally onboard with the idea. One person wrote, “That would be dope!!” with another person adding, “I can see this happening.”
Inevitably, other people on the social media platform strongly disagreed, saying the newly-married musician is simply not the right fit for a role like Batman.
One critic wrote, “Hard pass on that,” with another simply saying, “Nah bro.” Harsh!
If we’re being completely honest, we’re having a hard time picturing the “Right Now” crooner as Batman, too, so it’s going to take a little more convincing. However, we did like one fan’s suggestion, which was to welcome Mrs. Jonas to the cast as well.
“Then Priyanka should be Catwoman,” one fan wrote, and we can’t lie, we’d totally love to see these two newlyweds star in a movie together. Plus, it would give them a chance to prove to all the naysayers that they actually do have chemistry.
