On Wednesday, Nicki Minaj came under fire after she blocked a fan for asking her to speak about the Orlando shooting at Pulse Nightclub. Unlike other celebrities, Nicki hadn’t mentioned the tragedy and was called out by a fan who was disgusted that Nicki used Twitter to promote her new song on the tragic event.
It all started when Twitter user @jxhnnybxrrios tweeted:
I'm kind of offended that Nicki could tweet about a song but can't acknowledge the shootings in Orlando. :////— johnny (@jxhnnybxrrios) June 15, 2016
.@NICKIMINAJ you plan on tweeting about the tragedies that took place this past weekend orrrrrr?— johnny (@jxhnnybxrrios) June 15, 2016
Clearly, Nicki wasn’t happy that she was called out, and blocked him.
LMFAOOOO NICKI UNFOLLOWED ME FOR MY TWEETS.— johnny (@jxhnnybxrrios) June 15, 2016
Nicki unfollowed me because I called her out for promoting her song and not even acknowledging the tragedies. pic.twitter.com/4Vf58qTPxD— johnny (@jxhnnybxrrios) June 15, 2016
