By now, basically anyone who has watched either (or both) of Noah Centineo‘s Netflix movies, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, has most likely walked away with a crush on him. Especially when you decide to then do a deep dive on social media and see how much of a gem he actually is IRL. While we know that Noah is currently single, he does have some crushes himself! In fact, his celebrity crush is one we are totally here for: queen Selena Gomez. And he wants the world to know it!
So here’s what went down: Noah took to Instagram to leave a rather cute comment on his manage Nick Styne’s throwback pic that featured none other than Sel. That’s when Noah wrote, “Bahhhhh she’s gorgeous,” along with an anguished-looking emoji.
Noah is out here making it known he is forever in a state of heart-eyes over Selena and his reaction is legit just like the rest of ours. C’mon, she looks gorgeous in every photo so we don’t blame Noah! And when he was speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he admitted that he was simply just admiring Sel’s beauty, but doesn’t have any plans to slide into her DMs, in case you were wondering.
“That’s all love, man. That’s not in the DMs, you know? I respect the woman. I think it’s hard not to crush on her. I don’t know her though,” Noah said, as he admitted he hasn’t spoken to Selena yet. But when it comes to the possibility of taking the starlet out on a date, well, he’s not ruling that out.
“I’d love to have a conversation with her. I mean, yeah, why not [go out on a date]? Who’s gonna say no to that? Do some yoga, go on a hike to the Wisdom Tree, maybe go overseas,” he said. Umm okay, now can we make this happen, please and thanks? And this isn’t the first time he’s announced his true feelings for the “Bad Liar” singer. Speaking to Seventeen back in September, Noah was completely honest when he was asked who his celeb crush is. Yep, that’s right. He spilled what’s deep in his heart, or shall we say who owns his heart.
“I think Selena Gomez seems like one of the coolest people ever. And she’s like an activist as well and clearly she loves love and is a loving person. I don’t know if it’s clear because I don’t know her, but it feels that way,” he said.
OK, now can we just take a moment to appreciate how adorable this is? Noah might not know Sel personally, but everything he said about her seems like it could be true to us! The 26-year-old is all about spreading love in everything she does. Who doesn’t think she’s cool? Noah was totally spot on.
The stars haven’t met yet, but they do have some connections. Both have Disney Channel pasts — we all know Sel best from her role as Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place, and Noah has appeared on Austin & Ally, Jessie, and Shake It Up. Selena even sang the theme song for Shake It Up! Noah also took over the role of Jesus on The Fosters from Jake T. Austin, who yes, played Max Russo on Wizards. That might be a bit awkward when you think about it — but hey, it’s another connection between the “Back to You” songstress and the 22-year-old actor. And let us never forget that Selena has starred in a Netflix movie of her own too, The Fundamentals of Caring.
We have a feeling these two are going to cross paths soon enough. And maybe — just maybe — the sparks will fly. Noah has proven he’s a pretty romantic guy, after all…
