School’s out at Riverdale High, and we’re in absolute mourning. Not just ’cause Archie’s arrest set us up with a weird Season 3 plotline — like personally I dig the murder mysteries — but because it’s legit painful being without our faves week after week. The only comfort is that during this summer vacation, KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, and the gang have been spoiling us with behind-the-scenes BFF pics on Instagram.
And that is so necessary, because after all the doom and gloom of that Black Hood saga, it’s refreshing to see Madelaine Petsch glowing with happiness and Casey Cott grinning ear to ear. Plus, following Bughead’s drama, we need to check if Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are packing on the PDA now that their real-life relationship is out in the open. There is, IMHO, not enough of the last one, but one thing’s for sure: the Riverdale family is having an absolute blast gearing up for this next chapter. And we do mean family, because they’re constantly joking about having relations in their captions.
So even though the Season 3 trailer ensures Archie and the gang are slated to have the “worst summer” ever, their IRL counterparts are living up these warmer months. So if you need a little bit of cuteness to tide you over, we’ll be systematically gathering the most precious shots of our faves until Labor Day.
Well, you know, “Labor Day,” so really Oct. 10 when the show comes back into our lives.
