Prepare yourselves, people, because there might be a Pretty Little Liars reboot in the works! Yep, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Riveradale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is working on a brand new version of the fan-favorite Freeform show, and we have all the exciting details.

Sources told the publication that this series “is said to feature a new story and new characters.” As of right now, it’s unclear exactly what network the possible show would air on, but insiders also said that streaming service HBO Max is being looked at as the “target destination.”

As fans know, this isn’t the first time a possible PLL reboot has been brought up. That’s right, back in May,  Lucy Hale — who started as Aria Montgomery — told ET that “anything is possible” when asked about bringing the show back to TV.

“I don’t rule anything out, [but] I feel like we’d need a little more time to pass. I feel like we would get more out of it if we were, like, 10 years down the road,” the actress added. “I feel like they’re gonna do a spinoff or something before then. I don’t know. I’m so protective of this show. So I feel like when the time comes that they want to do it with a whole new cast, I might have to produce it because I’m way too protective of it.”

For those who forgot, PLL already had two spinoffs in the past — Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists — which only lasted one season each.

When talking to J-14 exclusively, Brendan Robinson — who played Lucas Gottesman — said he would “totally be down” for a reboot.

“Yeah, I would love that. I’m curious if it would be a reboot, like a series reboot or if it would be in the form of like a two hour movie,” the actor gushed. “Any opportunity to work with people that I like to work with, and kind of ‘go home’ if you will, I’m totally up for that.”

We’re seriously hoping to see some of these familiar faces on our TVs sometime soon!
